Definition: Web 2.0

Web 2.0 refers to newer Web applications and platform capabilities for the Web, vintage 2004 and maybe one to three years earlier, which exhibit qualities and capabilities not found on the Web in the earlier period, such as blogs, RSS feeds, podcasts, wikis, APIs, Web services, mash-ups, tagging, sharing user media, and other forms of social computing.

Synonym for Web20.
