Definition: Software as a Service (SaaS)

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a computing model based on customer access to computer software applications which are maintained on centralized, non-customer Internet computer network servers, freeing up the customer from the need to maintain their own servers and software.

Acronym is SaaS.
